A man is arrested for threatening a peer over money

Police have taken into custody a minor suspected of involvement in an incident classified as “Detyrim” (Coercion/Compulsion). According to a police statement, the case was officially reported on April 26, 2026, though the alleged events are believed to have taken place between April 6 and April 27, 2026, in Pristina. The complaint was filed by a Kosovar man who accompanied his minor son.

Both reported that the suspect, who is also a minor, repeatedly threatened the minor victim. The nature of the alleged coercion involved the suspect demanding and subsequently taking money from the victim. The suspect has since been arrested, and the prosecutor has ordered their detention.

Authorities have confirmed that the case is currently under the jurisdiction of the competent legal bodies. The initial report details the pattern of behavior, which involved repeated demands for financial assets. The involvement of minors on both sides of the alleged incident—the suspect and the victim—is a key component of the ongoing investigation.

The detained minor remains subject to the investigation as the appropriate authorities continue to handle the matter according to established legal procedures.
