Investigators from the police station in Ferizaj have apprehended a suspect in connection with a case of blackmail. According to a media statement, the investigation commenced on June 26, 2026. The complaint alleged that an individual utilized social networking accounts created with false identities to communicate with an ex-partner.
During these communications, the perpetrator allegedly threatened to disseminate private photographs belonging to the victim. Following intensive investigative efforts and in coordination with the state prosecutor’s office, investigators successfully identified the suspect as R.Gj., a 28-year-old male. The suspect was subsequently arrested on July 4, 2026, at a border crossing.
Following questioning conducted in the presence of legal counsel, and by decision of the prosecutor, the individual was detained for a period of 48 hours.
