About 7,000 violations by motorcycle and ATV drivers, MPB with 503 criminal charges

The MPB Macedonia announced that between May 18, 2026, and July 31, 2026, the Traffic Issues Sector, operating near the Ministry of Interior, conducted extensive enforcement operations nationwide. These controls specifically targeted the operation of assisted bicycles, mopeds, motorcycles, tricycles, and quadricycles. During the specified period, a total of 6,932 violations were recorded among the drivers operating assisted bicycles, mopeds, motorcycles, tricycles, and quadricycles.

Additionally, 33 violations were registered involving bicycle drivers. The enforcement efforts revealed varying levels of non-compliance across different police jurisdictions. The Skopje Traffic Police Station recorded the highest number of violations at 2,146.

Other locations with significant records included the Manastir Traffic Police Station, which logged 992 violations, followed by Veles at 856. Kumanovo reported 583 violations, while Shtip recorded 544. Tetovo and Ohër each reported 541 and 420 violations, respectively, and the Strumica Traffic Police Station documented 327 violations.

These figures provide a comprehensive overview of the types and frequency of violations recorded during the intensive period overseen by the MPB Macedonia, highlighting areas of focus for future traffic safety initiatives concerning various vehicle types.
