The Pukë Police Department recently concluded “Operation Arsti,” a targeted operation aimed at investigating the cultivation of narcotic flora within the village of Arst. Following intensive checks and proactive investigations, officers discovered a significant quantity of suspected narcotic plants belonging to the Cannabis Sativa species within the local territory. During the operation, police personnel confirmed the presence of approximately 130 suspected narcotic plants.
To mitigate further proliferation, the majority of the cultivated plants were destroyed via controlled burning, while a portion was carefully collected and secured as material evidence for the ongoing investigation. Furthermore, the operation resulted in the arrest of an individual identified as S. N., a 55-year-old resident of the Arst village.
This citizen is currently suspected of being responsible for the cultivation of the narcotic plants found on the premises. In response to these findings, the Pukë Police have formally initiated criminal proceedings against the arrested individual. The department emphasized that these actions are part of a sustained effort to combat illicit cultivation within the community.
The seizure and destruction of these plants underscore the police commitment to maintaining public safety and enforcing regulations regarding controlled substances in the village area.
