Association of Pensioner Organizations Celebrates 80 Years of Service

The Association of Pensioner Organizations of North Macedonia marked a significant milestone today, celebrating 80 years of operation and service to elderly citizens. Minister of Health, Azir Aliu, delivered the concluding remarks at the anniversary event, highlighting the organization’s vital role within society. “It is an honor for me to be with you today and to have the opportunity to address this significant anniversary,” Minister Aliu stated.

He emphasized the organization’s “eight decades of dedicated work, solidarity, and care for elderly citizens” as a testament to its importance. Aliu underscored the belief that providing care for pensioners is not simply a social responsibility, but a reflection of a nation’s maturity and humanity. “Therefore, for me and for the Ministry I lead, this issue is a high priority,” he affirmed.

During his address, Minister Aliu outlined proposed amendments to the Health Protection Law. These changes are designed to specifically safeguard the interests and well-being of pensioners. Details regarding the proposed legislation were not immediately available.
