An Albanian nurse was arrested at the Milan prison.

An Albanian nurse found herself in custody at the Milan prison. The Gazeta Express reported this arrest on April 1, 2026, at 10:57. Italian authorities apprehended the nurse, who was born in Albania, just two days before the incident.

She is now facing accusations of repeatedly providing contraband to inmates while working at the “Opera Prison.” The primary recipients of these illicit items were other Albanian nationals. The arrest stemmed from the handover of possessions to an Albanian man. Prior to this, the nurse had arranged a meeting with a 44-year-old Albanian in Milan.

This meeting was to receive a package intended for delivery within the prison. The contents of this package included five mobile phones, a charger with various adapters, and €1,700 in both €20 and €50 banknotes. Investigators’ suspicions regarding her movements and activities ultimately led to her arrest.

The situation highlights the ongoing challenges within the prison system and the vigilance of law enforcement in preventing illegal activities.
