The Kosovo Police reported on Wednesday the successful extradition of a Kosovar citizen from Belgium, alongside the arrest of a German citizen wanted by Spanish authorities. The police stated that the extradition of the Kosovar citizen, identified by the initials L.B., was completed through coordination with Belgian authorities and the justice institutions. This individual was internationally sought via INTERPOL, pursuant to an arrest warrant issued by Kosovo’s justice system.
After being initially detained by Belgian authorities, the suspect was subsequently transferred to police units in the Prizren region for continued legal proceedings. Separately, on the same day, around 1:45 PM, officials from the Directorate for International Police Cooperation, working with local police units in the Prizren region, conducted an arrest. The details regarding the second individual were managed in cooperation with international partners.
These actions underscore ongoing cross-border law enforcement efforts. The handling of these two separate cases involved multiple jurisdictions, demonstrating the operational reach of the Kosovo Police in apprehending and processing foreign and domestic suspects who are sought by various international bodies. The process ensures that relevant legal procedures can continue for each individual apprehended.
