Ardian Gjini, the Alliance candidate for prime minister, has secured the mandate of the deputy following the results of the June 7 elections. Speaking at the Rubicon in Klan Kosova, Gjini announced his decision regarding the elected position. He stated that he will relinquish the mandate of the deputy to focus on his existing roles within the Municipality of Gjakova, which he currently directs.
“I will not keep the position of the deputy because I must send Gjakova to elections immediately,” Gjini stated. He confirmed that he intends to retain his roles as the head of the Municipality and within the party structure. He emphasized his commitment, declaring, “I will be very engaged in the party.
I will not take on other duties. I will be focused on the Municipality; I also have some very important work with the head. In Gjakova, they know that this is my last mandate.”
Regarding the political landscape, Gjini projected that if the Alliance maintains its current electoral performance, the composition of the Parliament would include five men and three women.
Following his announcement, Daut Haradinaj also issued a statement.
