Arrest in Skopje, drugs and money confiscated – two people detained

Officers from the Illegal Trafficking Unit in Skopje conducted an operation on July 9, 2026, at approximately 10:20 PM, resulting in the detention of two men, identified as P.J., aged 38, and D.R., aged 28. Both individuals were reported to be residents of Skopje. The operation commenced at P.J.’s residence located in the Kisella Voda area.

Authorities executed the search pursuant to an existing court order. During the search of the premises, officers discovered and subsequently seized several items. Among the seized materials were a substance described as white and thick, identified as marijuana, along with a digital scale and a quantity of money.

The Macedonia Police Bureau (MPB) confirmed the details of the incident, noting that both P.J. and D.R. were taken into custody.

Following the recovery of the evidence, MPB stated that appropriate criminal charges would be filed after the completion of a full documentation process concerning the seizure and the arrests. The incident underscores ongoing law enforcement efforts within the Skopje region targeting illicit activities. The discovery of narcotics and associated paraphernalia, coupled with the seizure of money, suggests an investigation into potential trafficking networks.

Authorities have indicated that the formal legal proceedings will proceed once all evidence has been fully cataloged and documented by the relevant departments.
