ASK: Number of visitors to Kosovo’s hotels is increasing

The hotel sector in Kosovo experienced a notable surge in activity during April 2026, according to the latest statistics published by the Kosovo Agency of Statistics (KAS). The data indicates a substantial rise in the total number of visitors, marking a 22.4 percent increase compared to the figures recorded in April 2025. Official reports confirm that the total number of visitors to hotels across Kosovo reached 67,093 in April 2026.

This total comprised 27,034 domestic visitors and 40,060 foreign visitors. Comparing this to the previous year, when the total number of visitors was 54,812, reveals an overall increase of 12,281 people within one year. Beyond guest count, the volume of overnight stays also demonstrated significant growth.

In April 2026, a total of 149,753 overnight stays were recorded in the country’s accommodation facilities. This figure represents a marked increase when compared to the 127,938 overnight stays documented during the same period in 2025. These statistics highlight robust performance within the tourism infrastructure of Kosovo.

The increase in both the number of visitors and the number of overnight stays suggests a strong recovery and growing appeal of the region’s hospitality services. The data provides a clear metric of the sector’s operational expansion over the past year.
