Attack at the police station in Tirana: 12 suspects identified – one person arrested

The State Police have announced the identification of twelve individuals linked to the incident that occurred at Police Precinct No. 3 in Tirana during a protest on April 4. According to official police reports, the investigation has resulted in one individual being arrested, seven others processed in free status, and four individuals currently classified as wanted.

The person who was arrested is identified as a 33-year-old citizen bearing the initials E.H. Furthermore, seven other citizens—K.M., V.K., E.L., Sh.B., V.D., E.N., and B.K.—were processed by authorities while in free status. Investigations remain active as police continue efforts to identify any other suspects implicated in the altercations directed against police personnel and the precinct structure.

All gathered materials pertaining to the incident have been formally referred to the Tirana Prosecutor’s Office. The investigation is currently assessing potential criminal charges, which include “Destruction of Property,” “Assault on Duty,” “Resisting a Police Officer,” and “Disturbing the Peace.” The authorities maintain that these procedures are necessary to address the documented misconduct surrounding the confrontation at the police facility.
