The Kosovo Police have announced the arrest of an individual in Vushtrri suspected of assaulting police officers. According to a police statement, the suspect, who was already wanted on a court order, was taken into custody during the afternoon. He faces charges related to “Unauthorized possession, control, or carrying of weapons” and “Assault on a public official.”
The police detailed that the arrest followed an incident where the suspect reportedly used a spray against officers during an intervention.
Following this, he allegedly physically attacked two police officers. The confrontation resulted in bodily injuries for both the officers and the suspect, all of whom required medical attention. During the investigation at the scene, law enforcement officers seized material evidence, including two spray cans and two knives.
The arrested individual is currently under investigation concerning the nature and possession of these items, alongside the assault charges. The police emphasized that the apprehension was executed following the use of force and the subsequent physical altercation involving the spray agent and weapons.
