BDI: Bilall Kasami is manipulating public opinion with the Tetovë–Prizren road project

The Democratic Union for Integration (DUI) has criticized the promotion of certain works by the Mayor of Tetova, Bilall Kasami, alleging that the promotion involves the manipulation of public opinion concerning the Tetova–Prizren road project. The DUI asserted that the location highlighted during the promotional activities is not situated on the designated route for the Tetova–Prizren road. Furthermore, the party stated that the Municipality of Tetova lacks the requisite authority to undertake such a project, as the infrastructure in question is classified as a state road.

In a statement, the opposition party remarked, “When reality does not produce success, power produces lies.” The DUI reiterated several key points regarding the development plans. They emphasized that the proposed road alignment does not pass through the specific location being promoted. Additionally, they maintained that the Municipality of Tetova is not competent to manage this project because it falls under the jurisdiction of a state road.

Moreover, the DUI pointed out significant procedural deficiencies regarding the presented works. Specifically, they noted the absence of a basic design, an official building permit, and the necessary expropriation of private property required for such a large-scale construction. These concerns suggest a dispute over jurisdiction and planning legitimacy related to the development of the road connecting Tetova and Prizren.
