BDI: VLEN is dismantling the right and adequate representation

Arbër Ademi, speaking on behalf of BDI, addressed VLEN at a press conference, asserting that the party has failed to ensure fair and adequate representation for the Albanian community. Ademi referenced previous commitments made by VLEN, noting that the party had promised to secure a level of representation in state institutions of at least 31.5%. He stated that, according to his assessment, the current outcome deviates significantly from these stated objectives.

During the press conference, Ademi criticized the government’s trajectory, arguing that the results suggest a departure from the promised path of progress and change. He structured his criticism by detailing specific instances he believes undermine Albanian representation. He specifically highlighted that early in the formation of the current government, which he noted lacked ethnic legitimacy, the first perceived setbacks occurred.

Ademi pointed to changes implemented in the methodology governing public sector employees as evidence of this decline in representation. In summary, Ademi maintained that the gap between VLEN’s stated goals for securing adequate representation and the current reality represents a substantial policy reversal. His address centered on the need for accountability regarding the promised levels of inclusion and the practical steps taken by the administration since assuming power.
