The Acting Minister of Culture and Tourism, Saranda Bogujevci, recently visited the Albanian Book Fair “Prizren 2026.” This year’s iteration of the literary event was organized under the theme, “Book and Tradition.” During her visit to Prizren, Minister Bogujevci was briefed on the various activities taking place at the fair. The gathering featured participation from publishers, authors, and readers representing Kosovo, Albania, North Macedonia, and the Prizren Valley, providing a platform to showcase diverse literary creativity and new publications. Bogujevci emphasized the critical role that the book plays in cultural continuity and the reinforcement of communal ties among Albanians.
She stated that literature, language, and tradition, channeled through the written word, serve as vital connectors. “The book is a bridge that brings us together, preserves our cultural memory, and strengthens our bonds through language and tradition,” Bogujevci noted during her visit. In addition to her engagement with the literary community at the fair, Minister Bogujevci also paid a visit to the National Council of Albanians, where she was formally received by the chair of the organization.
The itinerary highlighted the minister’s continued focus on cultural preservation and the importance of literary exchange in regional identity building.
