Kosovo Customs reported the seizure of 2,550 nine-millimeter caliber bullets following an inspection in the Pristina region. The operation was conducted by officers from the Kosovo Customs Anti-Smuggling Sector. The seizure occurred during routine operational activities designed to combat smuggling and cross-border crime.
Customs personnel stopped a vehicle on the Trudë–Pristina highway segment for further inspection. During the initial check, customs officers developed suspicions regarding the presence of modified compartments within the vehicle. A detailed inspection subsequently revealed hidden compartments concealed behind the dashboard.
These compartments were found to contain the substantial cache of 9mm caliber ammunition. Following the discovery, the necessary procedural actions were taken by the authorities. The case, involving the vehicle and the seized materials, was subsequently processed by the relevant departments.
The action underscores the ongoing efforts by customs enforcement agencies to secure border crossings and prevent illicit trafficking through the region. The seizure highlights the operational capacity of customs to detect concealed contraband during routine checks in the Pristina area.
