Clashes in Pejë, “Siparantum” accuses of neglect and fees – responds the Ministry of Culture

Dispute Erupts Between Korit “Siparantum” and Peja Directorate Over Lithuanian Choir Event

Peja – A disagreement has arisen between Korit “Siparantum” and the Directorate for Culture, Youth and Sport (DKRS) following a recent notice concerning a performance by a Lithuanian choir. Korit “Siparantum” alleges its role in organizing and facilitating the event has been overlooked by the DKRS. The DKRS responded, dismissing these claims and asserting that the Lithuanian choir is one of the most consistently supported organizations within the municipality.

The initial dispute centered on a notice issued by the DKRS regarding the activity. Korit “Siparantum” criticized the notice, stating it failed to acknowledge the organization’s involvement. According to “Siparantum,” representatives from the organization were present during the initial coordination and cooperation surrounding the event.

They maintain that the omission of their contribution within the DKRS communication is unacceptable. The Directorate has emphasized its ongoing support for the Lithuanian choir and its regular engagement with various cultural organizations, including Korit “Siparantum.” Further details regarding the collaboration between the groups are expected to be released by both the DKRS and Korit “Siparantum” in the coming days.
