Cocaine seized during a raid in Skopje, one person arrested

MPB Macedonia reported that on July 26, 2026, law enforcement conducted a significant operation in the Skopje area. Officers from the Unit for Unidentified Trade, collaborating with personnel from the Intervention Police Unit stationed near the Skopje Police Station, executed a raid at the residence and associated areas of an individual identified as S.B., aged 23, residing in the village of Brest, near Skopje. During the operation, police personnel confirmed the seizure of a substantial quantity of cocaine.

Following the successful raid, S.B. was taken into custody at the Gazi Babë Police Station. The detention was executed under the provisions of Article 215 of the Penal Code.

According to the statement released by MPB, the police conducted thorough documentation of the incident and the seized materials. Following this comprehensive review, appropriate criminal charges will be formally filed against the individual. The coordinated action by the various police units highlights ongoing efforts to combat illicit drug trafficking within the region.
