EU Commissioner Kos to Remain in Kos to Meet with Leaders
EU Enlargement Commissioner Marta Kos will remain in Kosovo this Friday, according to reports. The Slovenian commissioner’s visit follows her arrival in Pristina on Thursday evening, directly from London where she was scheduled to attend two meetings. During her time in Kos, Commissioner Kos has arranged a series of meetings with key figures.
The agenda, released by the European Commission, indicates she will hold three meetings. These will include a scheduled discussion with the acting President, Albulena Haxhiu, and the acting Prime Minister, Albin Kurti, including a press briefing with Mr. Kurti.
Notably, Commissioner Kos’s engagements will focus on dialogue with civil society representatives rather than opposition figures. This visit marks her first time in Kos since assuming her role as commissioner. The purpose of the meetings is to continue discussions regarding Kosovo’s progress within the EU accession process.
The commissioner’s presence in Kos underscores the European Union’s ongoing commitment to the country’s development and integration.
