AI-Generated Music Accounts for Significant Portion of Deezer Uploads
Deezer announced on Monday that artificial intelligence-generated songs now constitute 44% of all new music uploaded to its platform. According to data shared with Telegrafi, the company is experiencing a substantial increase in this type of content, with nearly 75,000 AI-generated songs uploaded daily and over two million monthly. This represents a notable rise from previous periods.
Deezer reported approximately 60,000 AI songs uploaded daily in January, a significant increase from 50,000 in November and 30,000 in September. The trend began with just 10,000 AI-generated songs uploaded in January 2025, coinciding with the launch of Deezer’s music discovery tool. Despite the growing volume of generated content, consumption of this music remains low.
Approximately 1-3% of total streams are comprised of AI-generated songs. Furthermore, Deezer has identified 85% of these streams as fraudulent and subsequently demonetized. The data highlights a consistent trend of increased uploads of AI-generated songs to the Deezer platform.
