Did Orhan Lopar participate in the Serb demonstration on May 24 in Jabllanica?

On May 24, 2025, approximately one thousand Serbian nationals gathered at the Monastery of the Holy Archangels in Jabllanica to participate in a demonstration organized under the banner “Towards Vidovdan.” According to reports from the “Pledge for Justice” unit within the Kosovo Police, Orhan Lopar was among those cited as participating in the event. At the time of the report, Orhan Lopar was reportedly serving on a diplomatic mission in Turkey, holding the position of third secretary at the General Consulate of the Republic of Kosovo in Istanbul. Despite the allegations of his presence at the demonstration, Lopar publicly refuted the claims.

He stated that he was in Istanbul and was not in Kosovo on May 24th. When directly questioned about his whereabouts on that date, Lopar maintained that he remained in Istanbul. However, the situation became complicated when it was revealed that the “Pledge for Justice” unit reportedly possessed photographic evidence allegedly depicting Lopar at the site of the demonstration.

This documentation reportedly contradicted his verbal assurances regarding his location and involvement. The incident highlighted a discrepancy between the claims made by the Kosovo Police source and the statements provided by the diplomat regarding his movements on the specified date.
