DNV alarms over the use of children in the fields, two complaints in PZAP

Demokracia në Veprim (DnV) has released an assessment following the first five days of the parliamentary election campaign for the elections scheduled for April 7. According to the organization, key observations during this initial period highlight the prominence of individual political leaders in campaign activities. Furthermore, DnV expressed concern regarding the reported use of children in election-related activities, alongside noting a perceived lack of direct confrontation between candidates regarding detailed political programs.

During a press conference, a representative from DnV, Violeta Haxholli, provided statistical context, noting that 21 political entities are participating in the election, fielding a total of 902 candidates. She pointed out that only 34 percent of these candidates identify as women. Analyzing the overall campaign landscape, the report indicated that the programmatic offerings from the competing political entities largely represent a recycling of previous policy proposals.

These ideas are reportedly repackaged as commitments, with core areas of focus centering on energy stability, salary adjustments, social welfare schemes, infrastructure development, and technology advancement. Overall, DnV conveyed multiple concerns regarding the fairness and balance of the electoral race. The organization’s assessment suggests that while many political issues are addressed, the depth of policy debate remains limited.
