Domestic violence: seven people ended up at the police station in the last 24 hours

MPB Macedonia has reported that seven individuals were detained over the last 24 hours in connection with domestic violence incidents occurring across various cities throughout the country. The law enforcement response involved multiple departments of the police force. Specific incidents detailed include an event in Skopje on June 3, 2026.

At approximately 14:35, police officers from the Skopje department detained an individual identified as B.M., aged 45, from Skopje. The detention followed a report alleging that he had physically assaulted his 75-year-old father in the Karposhte area. Further incidents were reported in other regions.

On June 2, 2026, at 23:00, police officers in the Prilep region detained a 49-year-old man. This action was taken after a report was filed by his 42-year-old wife, alleging physical assault within the family residence. Additionally, on June 3, 2026, at 12:40, police officers in Gostivar detained a 40-year-old woman originating from a village in Gostivar.

This detention occurred subsequent to a report filed by her husband. These reports confirm that police intervention was required in multiple locations to address allegations of domestic conflict. The authorities continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding these multiple detentions.
