Durmishi: Tetova showed maturity and did not fall into provocations

Minister of Economy, Besar Durmishi, provided commentary following a protest organized by the BDI in the city of Tetovo. Durmishi asserted that the local population demonstrated maturity and was resistant to external provocations. The discussion followed calls from opposition figures, such as Rexhepi, who demanded that the Constitutional Court repeat a previous decision to uphold the dignity of the Tetovans.

In response, Durmishi stated that the residents of Tetovo were not swayed by manufactured issues or attempts to create problems. He indicated that those responsible for the deterioration of the city faced a clear reaction from the community itself. Durmishi suggested that the nature of the recent protest indicated that Tetovo was not a place susceptible to ridicule.

He emphasized the resilience of the area, stating that while the right to protest is recognized, the city would not be utilized for what he termed “dark political games.” Overall, the Minister conveyed that Tetovo remains a strong entity, capable of withstanding external pressures, and that its citizens will not fall for manipulative political tactics.
