Several European clubs, including Barcelona and Arsenal, are reportedly pursuing the transfer of 19-year-old Bayer Leverkusen striker Christian Kofane. Kofane is currently viewed as one of the most promising young talents in European football. Leverkusen secured Kofane’s transfer for €5 million last season, following his performance with Albacete in the Spanish Segunda Division, where he scored eight goals and provided one assist in 20 appearances.
Interest from other clubs such as Real Madrid, Betis, and Sevilla was also present. Kofane has continued to perform well at Bayer Leverkusen, contributing with seven goals and eight assists in 39 matches. Arsenal has expressed a concrete interest in the player, with manager Mikel Arteta reportedly viewing him favorably.
Eric Depolo, a representative for Kofane, confirmed to Daily Arsenal that Arsenal’s interest is genuine. Further clubs are expected to remain interested in the young players as they consider opportunities for the upcoming season.
