Even the Netherlands will join military training with the Ukrainian army

The Netherlands has committed to participating in military training alongside the Ukrainian army. According to Prime Minister Rob Jetten, this preparation aims to establish an international force ready for potential deployment in Ukraine should a ceasefire with Russia be implemented. Jetten made this statement following a summit in Paris involving the “Coalition of the Willing.” This group, which comprises 37 nations and is spearheaded by France and Britain, is actively working on developing security guarantees for Ukraine.

During the briefing, Jetten specified that the preparatory training exercises will take place over the coming months within European Union countries bordering Ukraine, rather than on Ukrainian soil itself. The curriculum for these exercises will concentrate on critical areas, specifically logistics support and air defense capabilities. The overarching objective, Jetten emphasized, is to ensure that personnel are adequately prepared to support the implementation of a peace agreement, should diplomatic efforts reach a successful conclusion.

The commitment by the Netherlands underscores the multinational efforts taking place through the “Coalition of the Willing” to stabilize the security situation in the region. The planned exercises are designed to build interoperability among contributing nations, providing a structured response mechanism for maintaining stability in the area.
