The fifth edition of the International Festival of Folklore, Valleys, and Rituals, titled “N’Karadak Krisin Tupanat,” is scheduled to take place from April 28 to August 2, 2026. During this period, several major cities in Kosovo are expected to become hubs for world culture and tradition. This milestone fifth edition will host diverse folklore ensembles from around the globe, operating under the unifying theme: “Culture is our mission, Kosovo is our pride.”
The festival’s programming is structured across various locations over several weeks.
Specific opening events are scheduled for the first three days. On April 28, 2026, the festivities will commence in Ferizaj, featuring a city street event with a parade scheduled to begin at 7:30 PM, followed by a central concert at 8:00 PM. The following day, April 29, 2026, the celebration moves to Kamenicë, where a similar schedule is planned, including a 7:30 PM parade and an 8:00 PM concert on the city street.
The initial sequence of events continues on April 30, 2026, in Gjilan, also centered on the city street. This international gathering aims to showcase the rich tapestry of global folklore while emphasizing cultural preservation within Kosovo. The comprehensive schedule of activities will guide participants and visitors through the diverse cultural offerings presented throughout the entire duration of the festival.
