Ilir Ferati, the Secretary of the Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK), publicly refuted claims of any governing cooperation agreement between the LDK and the Vetëvendosje Movement. Speaking during the “Debat Plus” program on Dukagjini TV, Ferati emphasized that while discussions have taken place between the two political entities, these discussions remained strictly limited to fundamental principles. Ferati was explicit in his denial regarding any formalized pact.
He stated that there has been no negotiation phase concerning the division of government posts or the actual formation of a governing coalition. “There is no LDK-VV agreement. There have been discussions on principles, which I discussed with the chairman.

Furthermore, he clarified that consensus was not even achieved on the foundational principles themselves. According to Ferati, while certain groups approached the talks with the explicit goal of securing government positions, a mutual agreement on core political tenets was absent.
He reiterated that the discussions did not culminate in a binding commitment. The statements from Ferati underscore a continued divergence in political strategy between the LDK and the Vetëvendosje Movement, confirming that, as of his statement, no formal governmental accord exists between the two major parties.
