Arben Fetoshi, Director of the Institute for Hybrid Warfare Studies “Octopus,” has accused Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić of attempting to revive the political narrative associated with former Serbian President Slobodan Milošević. Fetoshi alleges that this effort is being channeled through a project termed “Serb World,” which he characterizes as a hybrid strategy directed against Kosovo and Western interests. According to Fetoshi, the pattern of behavior was confirmed by several high-profile figures.
He cited statements from Serbian official Paunović and the erection of a monument dedicated to the 37th Motorized Brigade in Rashka as evidence. Fetoshi asserted that these actions, alongside those by Milanović Dodik, Milan Knežević, and Patriarch Porfirije, indicate a confirmation of policies aligned with the era of Slobodan Milošević. The Institute Director stated that the combination of Paunović’s signaling and the “heroization” represented by the monument suggested a concerted effort.
Fetoshi contends that Vučić, in coordination with the aforementioned figures, is confirming the continuation of an established political framework. The allegations suggest that the current political maneuvering within Serbia represents more than just domestic policy shifts. Instead, Fetoshi frames it as a deliberate, coordinated attempt to reestablish a specific geopolitical narrative.
