MPB Macedonia has reported that over the preceding 24 hours, law enforcement officers detained fifteen drivers across the entire territory for offenses related to careless driving. The violations documented highlight significant breaches of traffic safety regulations. Of the individuals detained, a substantial number were found without the required documentation.
Specifically, thirteen drivers were apprehended operating vehicles without a valid driver’s license. Furthermore, two drivers were cited for operating a vehicle while intoxicated, and two others were detained for driving under the influence of alcohol. The geographical breakdown of the violations showed varied locations.
In Skopje, six individuals were found without a license (one of whom was intoxicated). Manastir recorded two such cases (including one intoxicated driver). Additionally, one instance of driving without a license was reported each in Dellčevo, Shtip, Kumanovo, Negotinë, and Makedonski Brod.
Separate incidents of impaired driving were recorded in Skopje and Veles. Authorities confirmed that following the comprehensive documentation of these cases, appropriate criminal charges will be filed against the responsible parties. The police issued a statement appealing to all members of the public to strictly adhere to established traffic rules to ensure public safety.
