Fifteen drivers are stopped for driving without a license and under the influence of alcohol.

According to the Macedonian Police Bureau (MPB Macedonia), law enforcement officers detained a total of 31 drivers across the country’s territory over the preceding 24 hours due to various traffic violations. The enforcement actions resulted in detentions for careless driving involving 15 individuals, those operating a vehicle without a valid driver’s license (12 drivers), two cases of driving under the influence of alcohol, and one instance of driving while facing an active suspension. Geographical breakdowns of these violations were provided.

In Manastir, three individuals were found driving without proper licensing, while two separate incidents involving this violation occurred in Kočan and Skopje. Further detentions for driving without a license were recorded in Tetovë, Demir Kapije, Struga, Dibër, and Prilep, with one case noted in each location. Regarding impairment, one person in Dellčevo and one in Veles were apprehended while driving under the influence.

Furthermore, one individual in Skopje was stopped for driving despite having an active suspension. MPB Macedonia confirmed that following the thorough documentation of all these cases, relevant criminal charges will be filed against the violators. The police issued a general appeal to all members of the public, urging adherence to traffic laws and responsible driving practices.

The consistent enforcement aims to ensure public safety by holding all participants accountable for their actions while driving.
