A 52-year-old male, identified by the initials P.Ç., was recently arrested in Tirana following an operation codenamed “Porosia” conducted on Kastriotët street. Authorities apprehended the individual on suspicion of trafficking explosive materials for sale. During the operation, law enforcement officers seized a significant cache of dangerous items.
The confiscated materials included two combat hand grenades, approximately 600 grams of TNT, and several detonating cartridges. Notably, a portion of the TNT was found equipped with fuses and detonating cartridges, indicating readiness for use. Additionally, six separate detonating cartridges were recovered.
The man, who resides in Fushë-Krujë, was taken into custody. Official reports confirm that the individual possesses a prior criminal record, specifically related to drug offenses. Following the apprehension, the seized explosives and related materials were formally transferred to the Prosecutor’s Office for further investigation and legal action.
The State Police confirmed that the arrest took place while the subject was found in possession of the combat grenades, detonating cartridges, and the explosive TNT.
