Financial misuse at FFM, four more suspects secured

The Prosecutor’s Office for Organized Crime and Corruption has announced the apprehension of four additional individuals in connection with allegations of financial misconduct involving the Football Federation of Macedonia (FFM). These four suspects were reportedly evading law enforcement agencies prior to their capture. According to the Prosecutor’s official notice, two of the newly detained suspects appeared before the preliminary investigation judge on the day of the announcement.

Of these two, one individual has been placed under pre-trial detention, while the second is subject to a presence measure throughout the proceedings. The remaining two suspects are scheduled to appear before the preliminary investigation judge the following day. The investigation into the alleged misuse of funds at the FFM has a broad scope, implicating a total of 18 natural persons and 8 legal entities.

Among those under suspicion are former Federation heads, Muhamed Sejdini and Ilço Gjorgjioski. Authorities allege that the misappropriation involves funds exceeding 2.9 million. The ongoing probe continues to focus on establishing accountability for the reported misuse of assets within the federation’s governance structure.
