As of 8:00 PM on August 30, 2026, the Ministry of Defence provided an update regarding the ongoing fire situation across the region. Authorities reported a total of 20 fire hotspots that have been identified in the area. Of these, seven hotspots remain classified as active, while an additional three are currently under observation.
Significant resources have been mobilized to manage the developing situation. A total of 284 operational forces and 33 fire trucks have been deployed to assist in containment efforts. Furthermore, two Air Force helicopters have been engaged in operations to support the response teams.
The primary areas experiencing the most significant fire activity are located in the regions of Tirana, Dibër, Korçë, and Durrës. Officials noted that the monitoring of the fire hotspots remains a high priority. The current deployment of personnel and equipment is aimed at mitigating the spread of the fires and ensuring public safety across the affected zones.
