The Ministry of Defence has issued a report detailing the national fire situation over the past 24 hours. According to the report, a total of 26 fire outbreaks have been documented across the territory. Of these incidents, four remain active, while two are currently under observation.
To manage the escalating situation, the Ministry confirmed the mobilization of significant resources. A total of 315 operational forces and 25 fire trucks have been deployed. Additionally, support operations have utilized four helicopters and 75 personnel from the Armed Forces.
The most challenging area remains Dajti Mountain, particularly in the vicinity of Qafë-Priska, where reports indicate renewed activity and expansion of the fire fronts. Today’s dedicated operation in this sector involves 15 firefighters, 9 AdZM forces, and 20 personnel from the FA. In the Dibër district, active fire incidents persist in Qafë e Helmës, Vajkal, and Sllatinë.
Efforts in Vajkal are substantial, with 38 forces from the MZSH and the local municipality actively engaged in containment efforts. Authorities continue to monitor the stability of the overall situation, emphasizing coordinated responses across all affected areas to manage the evolving nature of the fire incidents.
