The Ministry of Interior (MPB) announced yesterday, April 18, 2026, that five cases of domestic violence were reported across the country in the previous 24 hours. As a result, one individual is currently in police custody. The initial incident occurred on April 16, 2026, at 16:00 in Manastir, where police apprehended G.B.
(43), a resident of Manastir, following a physical assault against his mother. Later that same day, at approximately 11:00, officers from the SPB Kumanovë reported a case involving a 65-year-old woman from Kumanova. She reported that her son, I.A.
(35), had engaged in aggressive and prolonged psychological abuse. Additionally, on April 16, 2026, at 10:40, a 56-year-old woman from the Strugë region reported an incident involving her partner. The MPB confirmed that investigations into all five cases of domestic violence are ongoing.
