The Kosovo Police have issued a report concerning an incident in the village of Shkrel, located within the region of Peja. The report details an observation of unauthorized activity, specifically involving the potential carrying of weapons and an illegal border crossing attempt. According to the official statement, the incident was reported to have occurred with the individuals moving in the direction of Montenegro’s territory.

The police report specifies that on August 4, 2026, at approximately 10:00 AM, a Kosovar man observed four unidentified individuals. These individuals were noted to be carrying a dog and were reportedly armed with long guns. Furthermore, the observers described the group as being dressed in camouflage clothing.

Following the sighting, the Kosovo police were involved in the matter. The prosecutor’s office has been notified regarding the details of this incident. Consequently, the prosecutor has determined that the case requires further investigation to ascertain the full circumstances surrounding the group’s presence and movement.
