FSK joins search and rescue operation for missing person in Battle Lake

The Kosovo Security Force (FSK) water search and rescue team has been deployed to assist in the operation to locate a missing individual in the Battle Lake. Vëllazërim Qerimi from the FSK confirmed to Telegrafi that the search and rescue team commenced operations upon receiving notification regarding the missing person. Qerimi stated, “The FSK search and rescue team for water has intervened after receiving information from the Kosovo Security Center; they are operating there on the ground.”

The incident involved an individual who entered the Battle Lake and whose whereabouts are currently unknown.

Upon arrival at the scene, search and rescue teams, alongside units from the Kosovo Police, informed Telegrafi that all relevant police units and auxiliary units had been mobilized. The coordinated effort involves multiple agencies to conduct a comprehensive search of the lake area. The deployment of the specialized FSK water search and rescue unit indicates a significant operational response to locate the missing person.

Authorities are actively engaged on the ground, utilizing their resources to conduct a thorough search operation in the lake.
