Funding has been allocated for efficiency improvements in four social buildings located in Obiliq and Drenas.

Economy Minister Artane Rizvanolli was present at the official opening of four new social multi-residential buildings. This event marked the culmination of the “Implementation of Energy Efficiency Measures for Social Multi-Dwelling Buildings” project. The FKEE, the Kosovo Fund for Energy Efficiency, spearheaded this initiative, receiving financial backing from the European Union and co-funding from local municipalities.

The project’s core goal is to enhance the living standards of beneficiary families while simultaneously lowering their energy expenses. Extensive work has been undertaken to achieve this significant efficiency. The buildings have undergone comprehensive upgrades, including wall insulation, the replacement of outdated windows and doors, and effective roof insulation.

Furthermore, new, high-efficiency LED lighting has been installed, alongside a completely new heating system. Recognizing the importance of safety and functionality, considerable effort has also been dedicated to these aspects. These improvements represent a substantial investment in the social wellbeing of residents.

The focus on energy efficiency within these buildings is a key component of broader efforts to improve the quality of life for those living in social housing.
