Gjersa appeared with criminals arrested from Montenegro, Vuçi speaks about Kosovo

During a press conference held in Tivat on the eve of the EU-Western Balkans Summit, Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić addressed recent developments concerning the arrival of several individuals. Vučić stated that an associate of his had made a mistaken decision in organizing the arrival of these persons, noting that such an action was entirely outside of his directives or requests. The President emphasized that the individuals who returned to Serbia from Tivat airport are not to be characterized as criminals, and he dismissed any notion that they possess the capacity to cause problems within Montenegro.

Vučić explicitly refuted claims suggesting instability or the involvement of “hybrid warfare” tactics, labeling such allegations as baseless. He further asserted his distance from the reported events, stating, “I wouldn’t even consider organizing something like that. If I had done it, I would ask the hosts for forgiveness for the mistakes made by someone from [the region].”

Vučić’s remarks sought to quell rising tensions surrounding the regional political climate.

By addressing the matter directly, he aimed to reassure observers that the presence of these individuals does not constitute a threat to the stability of Montenegro. The statement served as a clear denial of any orchestrated effort to destabilize the country, maintaining that the situation was the result of an unauthorized misjudgment by a subordinate rather than a state-level directive.
