The Kosovo government approved the reallocation of budgetary funds for four key infrastructure projects across various municipalities during a meeting held today. The total funding allocated for these initiatives amounts to one million euros. Elbert Krasniqi, the acting Minister of Local Government Administration, detailed the scope of the planned interventions.
The projects are designed to enhance several aspects of local infrastructure, specifically targeting road networks, water supply systems, public recreational areas, and sports facilities. One of the approved infrastructure projects is the reconstruction of the Sitnica bridge, located within the Municipality of South Mitrovica, which has a designated value of 400,000 euros. A second significant project focuses on the Shtime Municipality, encompassing the regulation of sewage systems and the asphalt paving of both the town center and several surrounding villages, valued at 300,000 euros.
The third initiative involves the revitalization of public areas and mountain recreational infrastructure within the Peja Municipality. The fourth project, which completes the set of approved infrastructure improvements, also contributes to the overall national development goals. The allocation of these funds underscores the government’s commitment to improving municipal infrastructure nationwide through these targeted projects.
