Gunshots Result in Injury in Gjakovë
Gjakovë – A person sustained injuries following an incident involving gunshots on Marin Barleti Street on Tuesday, May 2nd, 2026. The Regional Police Directorate in Gjakovë confirmed the incident. According to information received by police at approximately 14:25 local time, gunfire occurred on the street.
A male, identified as a mature adult, was injured as a result. Vlera Krasniqi, Spokesperson for Information within the Regional Police Directorate, stated that “we received information about gunfire on Marin Barleti Street in Gjakovë. A male, a mature adult, sustained minor bodily injuries.”
Responding police units were dispatched to the scene and are currently undertaking investigative measures.
Authorities are focused on identifying and apprehending the individual responsible for the gunshots. “Relevant police units responded to the scene and are taking all necessary legal measures to apprehend the suspect,” the Police for tv syri reported. The extent of the injuries has been described as minor.
