Kosovo Parliament to Hold Memorial Ceremony for Eliot Engel
Kosovo’s Alliance for the Future of Kosovo (AAK) leader, Ramush Haradinaj, has submitted a formal request to the Parliament to organize a memorial ceremony in recognition of Eliot Engel. The proposal seeks to honor Engel, a significant ally of Albanians, and acknowledge his contributions to Kosovo’s development. The proposed memorial would include a special session within the Parliament, the creation of an annual “Eliot Engel” award, and the establishment of a permanent memorial display within the institution’s facilities. Haradinaj emphasized that recognizing the friendships of those who supported Kosovo is considered an institutional and national obligation.
The move reflects a desire to formally acknowledge Engel’s longstanding commitment to the country’s progress. The request is now under consideration by the Kosovo Parliament.
