Haradinaj speaks about Kurt’s appointments: By law, I don’t know it’s bad, but it is unnecessary.

Haradinaj Criticizes Kurti’s Appointments as “Unnecessary”

Pristina – Alliance for the Future of Kosovo leader Ramush Haradinaj has addressed recent appointments made by acting Prime Minister Albin Kurti, characterizing them as unnecessary and lacking in good judgment. Speaking on the developments, Haradinaj stated that while the appointments themselves may not be legally problematic, they are inappropriate given the current political climate. Haradinaj, using the term “don,” expressed his belief that the focus should be on the government’s ability to execute existing tasks and responsibilities.

He argued that the timing of these appointments, with only 40 days remaining until the upcoming elections, is ill-advised. “These appointments like this do not have a good taste when they are being campaigned, they don’t look good,” Haradinaj asserted. He further clarified that he doesn’t perceive these actions as replacements for existing positions, though he acknowledged a legal ambiguity regarding their legitimacy.

The leader questioned the rationale behind the moves, stating he “doesn’t understand why” they were pursued. Haradinaj’s comments reflect a broader concern regarding the political maneuvering occurring as Kosovo prepares for elections. The Prime Minister, Kurti, has not yet responded publicly to Haradinaj’s criticism.

  1. “It seems like a straightforward matter of procedure that’s being needlessly complicated.”
