Hoti: The Kurti Government is sinking into dialogue with Serbia.

Kosovo MP Hoti Criticizes Ambassador Bajrami’s Negotiation Role

Kosovo Deputy Avdullah Hoti expressed strong concerns regarding the appointment of Agron Bajrami as the chief negotiator in dialogue with Serbia, during a parliamentary session. Hoti asserted that Bajrami’s role, without parliamentary reporting mechanisms, would guarantee a complete lack of transparency in the process. Speaking before the assembly, Hoti accused the Kurti government of manipulating the established framework surrounding the Brussels Agreement and the Ohrid Annex.

He stated that this manipulation is generating significant hesitation within his ability to report on the ongoing dialogue to parliament. “The manipulation that has occurred by the Kurti Government… is causing hesitation to report on this process,” Hoti stated. He further proposed a new parliamentary resolution, emphasizing the necessity of regular reporting to the legislature concerning negotiations with Serbia.

Hoti indicated a perceived decline in the progress of the dialogue over recent months and years, citing a lack of alignment with previously established goals. The debate highlights ongoing tensions between the Hoti-led Democratic League of Kosovo and the Kurti government regarding the approach to Serbia negotiations and the importance of parliamentary oversight.
