Recent research has provided detailed financial data concerning foreign tourist expenditures within Albania. According to a study conducted by the “Data Centrum” research institute, which analyzed a sample size of 1,000 international visitors, the average total spending for a group consisting of two to three people reached 2,025 euros. This figure translates to an average expenditure of 761 euros per individual tourist.
The reported expenses cover a comprehensive range of categories, including lodging, food and beverages, internal transportation, shopping, and miscellaneous costs. The analysis conducted by the institute revealed that accommodation represents the most significant component of tourist spending, accounting for 44% of the total expenditure. Following this, the consumption of food and beverages constituted 29% of the overall spending.
Domestic transportation services accounted for a smaller, yet notable, portion at 13%. These findings were formally presented by the director of the Data Centrum Research Institute. The data offers valuable insight into the spending habits of international visitors to Albania.
By segmenting expenditures across accommodation, dining, and local transit, the report provides a clear breakdown of where the average tourist allocates their funds during their stay. This detailed financial overview is crucial for industry stakeholders planning services and infrastructure improvements based on solid data.
