The Minister of the Environment, Life, and Spatial Planning, Muamet Hoxha, conducted a working visit to the Municipality of Bogovina. During the visit, Hoxha, accompanied by Mayor Feti Abazi and Deputy Minister of Transport and Connections, Kaltrina Zekolli Shaqiri, inspected several infrastructure development initiatives being realized with financial backing from the Ministry. The Ministry of Environment, Life, and Spatial Planning is providing support for three significant infrastructure projects within the municipality, totaling an estimated value of 60 million denars.
These strategic undertakings are designed to enhance local resilience and safety. The specific projects under review include the construction of a rainwater canal in the settlement of Pirok. Additionally, the Ministry is overseeing the regulation of the Kusha riverbed in Pallçisht të Poshtëm and the upcoming regulation of the riverbed in Kamjan.
These combined efforts are critical for improving the area’s management of water resources. By developing these structures, authorities aim to achieve better protection against rainwater runoff and significantly reduce the potential risks associated with seasonal flooding, thereby creating safer living conditions for Bogovina’s residents. The inspection confirmed the Ministry’s commitment to sustainable development in the region.
Minister Hoxha’s visit underscored the collaborative effort between the central government and local municipal authorities to implement vital infrastructure improvements. These ongoing projects represent a substantial investment aimed at bolstering environmental security and improving the overall quality of life in the municipality.
