Vjosa Osmani, the current President of Kosovo and candidate for a second presidential term from the LDK, announced plans to convene a meeting with all political parties to address the country’s institutional stability. Speaking during an interview on Debat Plus, broadcast on RTV Dukagjini, Osmani stated that a comprehensive platform would be presented to facilitate dialogue among the major political actors. She emphasized that the immediate goal is not to initiate new elections for the presidency.
“We have a platform that we will present immediately after the elections,” Osmani stated, referencing a date such as April 8th. According to her, this platform will serve as a venue to invite all political parties to participate in discussions aimed at achieving institutional stability for Kosovo. Osmani further asserted that the political maneuvering surrounding the presidency will not be used as a pretext to trigger premature elections.
“We will not send the country to elections, nor will our names become a reason to send the country to elections,” she affirmed. Her statements indicate a focus on consensus-building through structured negotiations rather than electoral contestation to resolve the current governance challenges within Kosovo.
