Ibër Lepenci with “uprooting” action in Ujman, frees properties that were usurped for 20 years

The Public Hydroeconomic Enterprise “Ibër-Lepenc” has initiated an official operation aimed at reclaiming several properties situated within the Ujmani lake area in Kosovo. According to reports, the organized action commenced at 7:30 AM. Veton Elshani, the Deputy Police Director for the North Region, confirmed that law enforcement personnel are providing assistance to facilitate the execution of this operation.

This effort follows a prior warning and preliminary request issued by Ibër-Lepenc to eleven individuals identified as the “owners.” These individuals had constructed various structures and holiday homes on land belonging to the enterprise in the Ujmani area. Sources indicate that Ibër-Lepenc is undertaking this clearing process to recover properties that have reportedly been occupied for an estimated twenty years. The core of the current action is the physical reclamation of these disputed properties.

The enterprise asserts its rights over the land, leading to the coordinated effort to remove unauthorized constructions. The involvement of regional police suggests the scale and official nature of the intervention. The stated goal of the entire operation is to restore the land to the enterprise’s control, concluding a long-standing occupancy dispute regarding the use of these valuable waterfront properties.
