The Kosovo Agency of Statistics (KAS) has released the “Agricultural Accounts” for 2025, detailing the year’s performance in both plant and livestock sectors. The report indicates a notable increase in the overall value of agricultural output compared to the previous year. Specifically, plant production demonstrated a 13.2% growth in 2025 when benchmarked against 2024 figures.
The agency attributed this increase in the value of plant production to enhanced yields and increased value in key categories, including grain, industrial crops, forage crops, and fruit trees. Furthermore, the livestock sector experienced substantial growth, with production recording a 25.4% increase in value from 2024 to 2025. This significant rise in the livestock value is credited to an overall increase in the value of livestock products.
Cumulatively, the combined plant and livestock production achieved an overall growth of 17.8% in 2025 compared to 2024. These figures suggest a positive trend in the agricultural sector, indicating increased output value across major segments of Kosovo’s farming economy.
